Church Hall

Our church hall is the ideal venue for all kinds of events, including parties, wedding receptions, christening parties, children’s parties, amateur dramatics and conferences. It is situated immediately across the road from the church and comprises two rooms. The larger room has a raised stage and curtains. Stage lighting and sound facilities can be provided for an additional fee. The well-equipped kitchen can be used to cook meals.

Groups who rent the hall can arrange their own catering or we can help with this if preferred. Maximum capacity is 180 people.

The smaller room is perfect for meetings or smaller parties with kitchen facilities for serving light refreshments.

Kitchen facilities include two modern cookers, a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a serving hatch. Groups who rent the hall are also given the use of cutlery, mugs, plates etc., or can feel free to bring their own disposable cutlery and crockery.

Tables and chairs are included in the hire price with extras such as overhead projector and screen provided for a small extra fee.

Both rooms have access and toilet facilities suitable for disabled users.

Organisations that regularly use the hall include: SADS (Shiphay Amateur Dramatic Society); Beavers; Cubs; Scouts; Keep Fit Groups; NHS; Mini Car Racing Club; Table Tennis groups.
