The Haven Peru

Since 2000, Haven Peru has been committed to meeting the basic educational needs of over 200 primary and secondary school-age children in Pimentel, a coastal village in Peru. Tuition at school is provided by the state, but stationery and uniform must be paid for, and there are registration and many other fees which many parents simply cannot afford.

Haven Peru also helps with medical needs by running medical campaigns, when treatment and medicine can be provided free of charge by good professionals. Paula heads up a small team from the UK on regular visits, when they can really get to know the local people in their modest homes. Some of the people, including children, make beautiful jewellery and other handcrafted items to sell. You can buy these from our Haven Peru stall.
